Bats

There are nine species of bats in the state of Pennsylvania. The most common bat is the little brown bat and the big brown bat.

While bats are very beneficial and rarely cause any structural damage to your house, they do carry the rabies virus. The spores of their droppings, called guano, are very dangerous to humans if it is inhaled.
